The Art Show portion of Oildorado occurs during the beginning of the celebration. Oildorado officially begins on Friday, October 15, with the unveiling of the Oil Worker Monument by noted sculptor, Benjamin Victor, a native of Taft, California. The unveiling is immediately followed by the traditional Civic Luncheon at 12:00 noon, during which the Awards for the Gallery Show will be announced.
